Kuragane Erika

A second-year high school student.

She has bags under her eyes and tends to slouch. A negative thinker who hates herself. She fundamentally believes she is hated by others (or rather, she actually has been hated), so she gets nervous and stutters when interacting with people. However, in front of the very few people she is close to, she shows an age-appropriate clinginess and even a dependable side.

A native victim of bullying, she was bullied even before entering Hikarinomiya Academy. She is persecuted at home as well; while her younger sister Marin was given everything, Erika was given nothing. She is forbidden even from spending time in the same room and lives alone in a cramped attic.

After entering Hikarinomiya Academy, she made a best friend named Ikuna Yumemi. The strap attached to the knife she carries as a charm is a gift from her. However, when the two tried to elope, Yumemi betrayed her and sold her out, resulting in Erika suffering a gang assault. After that, the bullying intensified, and Erika's heart became so hardened that she swore never to trust anyone again.

On the day the anomaly occurred at school, she accidentally killed Shudou, who was trying to obtain the power of Kaigyo. She awakened as an ability user, gaining the power to fight against Kaigyo's Gangrene. This allowed her to harbor hope for the future, meet Rea, and proactively begin her revenge. Her emotions still tend to be unstable, but she has become much brighter compared to before. However, having sworn to "trust no one," she also thinks of herself as weak-willed for opening up her heart to Rea so easily.

She can be boundlessly cruel to the classmates who bullied her. On the other hand, she genuinely wants to help people she holds no grudge against, and acts to ensure as many people survive as possible. That being said, if those survivors were to side with her classmates, she would abandon them without mercy.

Oogi Rea

• Height: 160 cm

• Age: 16

• Physique: Ate a little too much recently.

• Weapon: Shield (Aegis)

A second-year high school student.

With perfect makeup and dyed hair, she is what one would call a "normie" (or so Erika thinks). She can interact kindly with anyone without discrimination and has many friends.

After being saved by Erika while being attacked by Kaigyo's Gangrene, they began acting together. She shows an aggressiveness in pushing her way into the negative-thinking Erika's space, but this is because she is trying to rely on her to maintain her sanity in this abnormal situation. Perhaps due to the influence of her parents divorcing when she was young and being raised by her father, she holds the belief that "it's better not to rely on others as much as possible." However, she also seems to get lonely easily and actually wants to be pampered deep down, making Erika the perfect fit.

She has many friends but seems bothered by the lack of anyone she can call a "best friend," and hopes to form such a relationship with Erika. However, this lack of close friends is because those she got close to kept moving away or going to different schools, severing their ties. She thought it was just unlucky coincidence, but in reality, it was orchestrated by her mother, Ranko. Realizing that the friend she thought was her closest since elementary school was an entity created by Kaisei kyou, Erika has now become the only person she can truly call a friend. Though, she herself seems unsure if it's okay to call Erika a friend, and if she will be satisfied with just that relationship.

Ikuna Yumemi

• Gender: Female

• Age: 17

• Height: 157 cm

• Physique: Insists her stomach isn't sticking out.

A second-year high school student.

A bright, flower-like girl who can get along with anyone. However, because she became close with Erika, she became a target of bullying. Even so, she continued to act strong and deepened her bond as Erika's best friend.

However, a few months before the start of the story, on the day they promised to elope, she disappeared alone. After that, only suspicious photos started arriving for Erika. Her doting parents also didn't worry about her, instead choosing to condemn Erika, and she remains missing to this day.

Nemusia Adrak

• Gender: Female

• Height: 157 cm

• Physique: Insists her stomach is not sticking out.

A blonde girl who looks exactly like Yumemi.

She speaks with a unique tone, referring to herself as "We/Our" (TL Note: For simplicity she will use I instead of We ), and claims to be the Queen of the Adrasia Kingdom. She is likely a human who drifted in from another world destroyed by Kaigyo, but her connection to Yumemi is unknown. For some reason, she is hostile towards people affiliated with Hikarinomiya Academy, and Erika is no exception. However, perhaps because they had a conversation, when Erika was in a pinch and asked for help with her eyes, Nemusia properly saved her. She uses magic that operates on different principles than skills.

Kuragane Marin

• Gender: Female

• Age: 15

• Height: 171 cm

• Physique: Always perfect.

• Weapon: Japanese Sword

A first-year high school student.

Erika's biological sister, though they look nothing alike. With outstanding athletic ability, excellent grades, a good personality, and a beautiful appearance, she is a perfect superhuman overflowing with charisma and adored by everyone. She is so much more blessed than Erika it's beyond comparison, and it's no exaggeration to say she sucked up all the talent. Her kendo skills are national-level, and perhaps as a result, she speaks in a strangely formal manner. It seems to be the influence of a master she studied under in the past, but she worries about wanting to speak in a cuter way. She also hates her own name.

Cooperating with her best friend Ruka, she defeated zombies on her own and thus awakened as an ability user.

While she is a person of excellent character, she accepts the twisted home environment where Erika is not treated as family, and hates Erika just as her parents told her to. On the other hand, she seems to suffer from the contradiction between being a "person of character" and a "deviant" who doesn't treat family as family. After talking with Erika away from their parents, they reconciled slightly. That being said, Erika continues to harbor a grudge against Marin, and Marin hasn't completely wiped away her ingrained prejudice against Erika either.

In addition, she seems to have other complicated feelings regarding Erika, and while appearing perfect, she harbors many complexes.

She is passionately wooed by her best friend Ruka, and her lips have actually been stolen several times. They are treated as an official couple by their classmates, and since Marin doesn't particularly dislike her, she seems troubled on how to handle it.

While moving to the second floor, her chest was shot through by Shiromachi, and she disappeared along with Ruka.

Hiyami Ruka

• Gender: Female

• Age: 15

• Height: 172 cm

• Physique: Wants to be someone who isn't embarrassing to stand next to Marin.

• Weapon: Gauntlet (Gyges)

A first-year high school student.

A boyish girl with short hair, the so-called "prince" type. She is popular with both boys and girls and gets confessed to constantly, but the person herself has absolutely zero interest in anyone other than Marin. Her world revolves around Marin; she woos Marin at every opportunity and steals her lips whenever there's an opening.

While moving to the second floor, when Marin was shot by a bullet, she disappeared along with her.

Inuzuka Supika

• Gender: Female

• Age: 16

• Height: 162 cm

• Physique: Confident in her figure.

• Weapon: Whip

A second-year high school student.

One of the individuals who inflicted direct violence on Erika alongside Shudo and Asanuma, leading the girls as a top-tier member of the class caste. She survived by sacrificing her cronies and escaping into a bathroom alone. Afterward, although saved by Erika, she ungratefully plotted a betrayal and was abandoned. Ultimately, she was forced to fuse with Gii, having complete control of her physical body taken away. Inuzuka's soul continues to suffer inside Gii even now.

Gii

A black slime-like lifeform Erika met inside the school after it turned into an alternate world.

Named Gii because she makes sounds like "Gii" and "Guu".

Although she attacked Erika at first, she suddenly became docile upon realizing her opponent was stronger. Afterward, they were attacked by zombies, and every other individual was wiped out except for Gii. Oweing a debt to Erika for saving her life and giving her the name "Gii", she pledges sincere loyalty to her. However, despite pledging loyalty, she seems to harbor a considerable amount of human-like desires.

Because there was no food in the human world that could serve as her nutritional source, she was on the verge of starving to death. However, by fusing with Inuzuka by Erika's hand, she became able to receive nutrition from human food and survived. This incident is also one of the reasons why Gii is so devoted to Erika.

After fusion, while basically maintaining a human form, she can freely turn parts of her body into slime. However, it seems she cannot completely turn her entire body into slime at once. Because her vital organs are concentrated in the flesh-and-blood parts, the more parts she turns into slime, the more fragile she becomes. Two souls, Gii's and Inuzuka's, coexist in one body, but because Gii's strength as a soul is overwhelmingly superior, Inuzuka cannot come to the surface and is simply trapped inside.

Although an unidentified creature, it seems she was born when a "Mother" stuffed "something" into the empty shell of the girl named Nanase Asami. Therefore, by changing her appearance, she can also act as Nanase Asami. This is likely why she was able to understand Erika's Japanese.

Ushizawa Ai

• Gender: Female

• Age: 17

• Height: 149 cm

• Physique: Often told she is great to hug.

A second-year high school student.

With pale skin and a small frame, she looks exactly like an indoorsy girl. She has a laid-back personality and possesses a somewhat mascot-like cuteness. After the incident occurred, she managed to escape to the infirmary by chance and survived. She seems worried about a friend named Hiiro.

Mitsurugi Fuyu

A second-year high school student.

With sharp eyes and slightly harsh wording, she gives off an unapproachable vibe. During their time as classmates, she distanced herself from Erika and bullied her "passively". After being talked down by Erika in the infirmary, she became completely obedient, seemingly thinking, "As long as I follow Erika, I won't die." Erika frequently indulges in superiority seeing her completely broken spirit. Before escaping the infirmary, she seemed to have blended in well with the others, chatting constantly when left alone in the room with Ai.

Tatsuoka

• Gender: Male

• Age: 18

• Height: 173 cm

• Physique: Slender

A third-year high school student.

An intellectual-looking boy encountered in the infirmary. He is strict and doesn't easily trust what others say.

A member of the ringleader group that bullied Nanase Asami and Shimakawa Yuya. He was also involved in killing Nanase Asami and making it look like a suicide, as well as the arson-murder that killed Shimakawa Yuya's parents. Meiji Yoko suspected him from the start. After betraying Erika and the others alongside Inuzuka, he was shoved by Meiji and eaten to death by zombies. Later, zombified, he was absorbed by "Homesick" and became an object with a burst head mimicking Nanase Asami's corpse.

Meiji Yoko

• Age: 26

• Height: 158 cm

• Physique: Mature

A school nurse.

With a laid-back personality, she finds everything bothersome and rarely takes the initiative. She dresses in a way that exudes sensuality, making her very popular among the male students. On the other hand, she is surprisingly compassionate when consulted about problems, earning her high trust from female students as well. Originally, as an educator, she worked desperately to make children happy, but upon learning the darkness of Hikarinomiya Academy, she was crushed by her own powerlessness and gradually lost her motivation. Mentally cornered by the deaths of Nanase Asami and the two Shimakawa family members, she was even seen by students taking large amounts of pills. In the end, she died when her internal organs were "pulled" by Homesick. However, since she obtained forgiveness from Nanase Asami at the brink of death, she might have found some salvation.

Shimakawa Daichi

• Age: 16

• Height: 181 cm

• Physique: Toned like a sprinter

• Weapon: Spear (Buduri)

A first-year high school student.

A friendly boy who speaks in the Kansai dialect. After his aunt and uncle died in a fire, leaving his cousin Yuya all alone, he learned Yuya was also being bullied at school. He enrolled in this school to save him.

As a member of Erika's party, he fought against Kaigyo's Gangrene with his spear. However, so as not to leave the monsterized Yuya feeling lonely, he remained in the collapsing school building and disappeared. Although he said it was for his cousin, after witnessing so much "death," he was also mentally exhausted himself. That might have been part of the reason he chose death.

Nanase Asami

• Gender: Female

• Age at Death: 17

• Height: 157 cm

A second-year high school student at the time.

She suffered terrible bullying in her class. Only Shimakawa Yuya tried to protect her, but they couldn't win against classmates who attacked them with even the teachers on their side. After being openly assaulted at the school entrance, the school, police, media, and even hospitals covered up the fact. A few days later, she committed suicide by jumping from the school roof, but the school also manipulated information regarding this. Moreover, it wasn't actually a suicide by jumping, but a murder committed by students including Tatsuoka. Her corpse was later buried in the infirmary wall as a sacrifice to summon Giraiguu. What happened after that is unknown, but "something" was poured into the "empty shell" of her soul, and she was reborn as Gii.

Shimakawa Yuya

• Gender: Male

• Age: 18

• Height: 172 cm

A third-year high school student.

A boy with a strong sense of justice who had been resisting bullying and violence since childhood. At Hikarinomiya Academy, he tried to protect Nanase, who was being similarly bullied, but Nanase died, and he became the target. The escalating bullying eventually developed into arson, and Yuya's parents were murdered. Despite their deaths clearly being arson, it was treated as an accident, causing him to lose faith in everything. Yuya tried to keep Daichi, who moved there out of worry for him, as far away as possible to avoid getting him involved.

Even while being bullied, he attended school diligently, apparently doing self-study while changing locations every day—like the infirmary, student guidance room, or the gym meeting room—so his classmates wouldn't find him.

When the incident occurred, he was inside the gymnasium, where he was given the power of Kaigyo while still alive, transforming into a monster named "Homesick." At first, acting out of a desire for revenge, he slaughtered the students who had bullied him. Once the revenge was complete and he lost his attachment to life, Kaigyo's will took over Homesick, initiating an indiscriminate slaughter while referencing "Shimakawa Yuya's memories and will." The first target was his benefactor, Meiji Yoko. When Erika and the others reached Homesick's main body, Shimakawa Yuya's consciousness awakened again upon hearing Nanase Asami's voice. This temporarily separated Homesick and Shimakawa Yuya, weakening Homesick and allowing Erika and her group to defeat it. Like Meiji, having obtained Nanase's forgiveness, he lamented his sin of killing his benefactor and ultimately getting Daichi involved, welcoming a death that was better than remaining powerless and unable to do anything.

Okada, Nagura, Uehara

A trio of first-year students.

Erika saved them while they were hiding in the school store. However, when Inuzuka betrayed Erika and her group, they decided to follow Inuzuka. In the end, they were eaten by Gangrene as Inuzuka's scapegoats and zombified.

Shudou Takeru

• Gender: Male

• Age: 16

• Height: 182 cm

• Physique: Slender but trained.

A second-year high school student.

He loved violence above all else and was the one who inflicted the most direct violence on Erika among the bullies. He died at the very beginning of the story, his corpse left in the bathroom. Actually, Kaigyo's power had already begun flowing into him the moment Erika killed him, which became the catalyst for Erika gaining her abilities.

Yoshioka

• Gender: Female

• Age: 17

• Height: 154 cm

A second-year high school student.

One of the members who bullied Erika. Since she had turned into a zombie, Erika killed her.

Asanuma

• Gender: Male

• Age: 17

• Height: 178 cm

A second-year high school student.

One of the members who bullied Erika, and Shudou's best friend. Because he was about to zombify, he was abandoned by Erika, had his limbs severed so he couldn't move, and was hung from the ceiling. He was later discovered and killed by Marin.

Setaguchi Ataru

Hiiro

• Gender: Female

A second-year high school student.

The friend Ushizawa Ai is searching for.

Ooki Ranko

• Gender: Female

• Age: 39

• Height: 159 cm

• Physique: Age-appropriate

Erika's homeroom teacher and the root cause of her escalating bullying.

Additionally, Ooki Ranko is a fake name; her true identity is Oogi Ranko, Rea's mother. (Note: Oogi is her maiden name, so her current surname is unknown.) She didn't change the "Ranko" part because she was waiting for her daughter to realize her true identity out of love for her mother. A devout believer in Kaisei kyou, she scraped off her own face, cut off her ears, and gouged out her throat to be of use for Giraiguu's descent. Thanks to this, she can freely change her face and voice by attaching a piece of Giraiguu to her face.

Utilizing her position as a teacher, she monitored Rea, controlled the people approaching Rea, and spied on her using her smartphone. This is why she was able to detect Erika's group moving towards the second floor.

Nakami Runa

A second-year high school student.

A close friend in Rea's class. However, her true identity is an Artificial Friend set up by Ooki to mold Rea into the personality she desired. Having no clear "face" or "personality," she can perfectly become whatever human she is ordered to be. Utilizing this aptitude, she changed her face and voice to play multiple roles as Rea's friends over the years. Naturally, Runa feels no friendship toward Rea; the only thing inside her is devotion to Giraiguu. Of course, the name Runa is not her real name either.

Shiromachi Ren

A second-year high school student.

A stereotypical frivolous boy, characterized by his long hair tied back in a bun. He seemed to play around with girls in the class like changing clothes, to the point there was a rumor he dated Inuzuka for a while. Although he belonged to a different group from Shudou and Asanuma, he naturally treated Erika like trash. He was not present at the scene during the assault incident on Erika, being somewhere else at the time.

The bullets fired from his gun can ricochet, and he used this to shoot Marin through the chest.

Suguro Rikuto

• Gender: Male

• Age: 17

• Height: 193 cm

• Physique: Brawny

A second-year high school student.

A very large man who even won a national judo tournament in middle school. He has a scar on his face, eyes sharp enough to kill a person with a glare, shaved sides on his head, and wears earrings prohibited by school rules—overall, he looks incredibly intimidating. Teachers seem unable to scold him, leaving him practically running wild. In the past, he sent a senior in the judo club to the hospital, and hasn't belonged to any club since. According to rumors, he gets into street fights night after night, continuing to train himself even now.

Knowing his body is a lethal weapon, he didn't inflict direct violence on Erika like Shudou and Asanuma did, but it doesn't change the fact that he treated her like trash. Like Shiromachi, he was not at the scene during the assault incident.

● Glossary

Hikarinomiya Academy

A high school in Hikarinomiya City.

A school with a good reputation in the city, but its true nature is a facility to artificially create bullying and offer the victims as sacrifices to Giraiguu. Many of the teachers are believers in Kaisei kyou.

Currently, it has turned into an alternate world; the 1st floor alone has become a massive space spanning tens of kilometers per side. The outer edge is based on the original school's shape, making it hard to get lost, but once inside, it is intricate like a maze and swarming with a massive amount of Kaigyo's Gangrene. The stairs are blocked by a mysterious wall and cannot be passed until the Floor Master is defeated.

Hikarinomiya City

A relatively large city located in a certain prefecture.

It has shopping malls and an amusement park, attracting many visitors from neighboring municipalities. However, its true nature is a religious city controlled by Kaisei kyou, with many believers infiltrating the city council, government offices, hospitals, police, schools, etc. However, the majority of the citizens are unaware of this.

Kaisei kyou

A cult religion worshiping a God of Destruction named Giraiguu.

The name is not well-known, but they have believers all over the world and control several other cities besides Hikarinomiya City. Their goal is to have the God of Light, Giraiguu, destroy the world so they can reach the hidden "True World" and attain happiness. Because Giraiguu delights in eating human emotions tainted by negativity, believers artificially create "sacrifices" exposed to human malice, murder them, and offer them to their god. The ritual for Giraiguu's descent seems to be progressing smoothly, and the cult's executives have been granted a portion of its flesh, successfully managing to change their faces and body shapes.

Giraiguu

The entity revered as a god in Kaisei kyou.

Its true nature is unknown, but it is said to delight in eating human souls tainted by negative emotions.

Kaigyo

The entity believed to have caused the mysterious phenomenon that attacked Hikarinomiya Academy.

Whether it is the same entity as Giraiguu is unknown. The only information currently known is that something resembling "fangs" has been witnessed, and that it is rotting and destroying various worlds. If the words of Shimakawa Yuya, who turned into Kaigyo's Gangrene, are to be believed, this world is being preyed upon by the 39,487,123,799,840th fang. In other words, it is a mighty entity possessing that massive amount of fangs, capable of simultaneously devouring that many worlds.

Kaigyo's Gangrene

Humans whose bodies were rotted by Kaigyo, turning them into monsters.

They evolve over time, becoming even more powerful individuals. A slight trace of consciousness from when they were human remains, but it seems to fade with every evolution.

Ability

A power granted to several humans, including Erika, to fight against Kaigyo's Gangrene.

It is granted only to brave humans who defeat Kaigyo's Gangrene using their own power. Its true nature is Kaigyo's power purified so humans can handle it. It is like a sort of purification filter, allowing them to absorb power by defeating Kaigyo's Gangrene. Abilities can be managed via smartphones, but the smartphone itself doesn't possess the power.

Skill

Special techniques that Ability Users can utilize.

Since humans who obtain abilities are often amateurs in combat, skills exist to grant such humans master-level techniques. Using these, they can attack opponents with movements surpassing human limits or use a mysterious power called magic. Basically, they can be activated by declaring the skill name, but as one gets used to it, they can be used without a declaration.

Adrasia Kingdom

The kingdom where Nemusia served as Queen.

Whether it actually exists is uncertain, but since the zombies that appeared at Hikarinomiya Academy weren't Japanese, they might be citizens of this Adrasia Kingdom. Goblins and Eaters are also creatures that existed in this kingdom. It was apparently a great nation that unified a continent.

Red Hallway

A straight hallway where Erika and Rea initially wandered into, chased by a massive amount of Gangrene.

The distance is quite long, and midway through, Gangrene also emerge from the side classrooms to attack. You can reach the infirmary by outrunning them to the end and passing through the doors. By completely annihilating the pursuing Gangrene, you break through one stage of the "shell" of Floor Master Shimakawa Yuya, allowing you to approach the main body.

Seven Mysteries of Hikarinomiya Academy

Numerous occult rumors whispered among students, such as corpses buried in the walls, students being offered as sacrifices, and an underground ritual room. What differs from typical school mysteries is that all of these are facts demonstrating Kaisei kyou's evil deeds.

That Video

A video filmed a few months ago when Erika failed to elope with Yumemi.

The content is absolutely unshowable to anyone, and Erika was frequently threatened with its spread on the internet. However, since Erika had suffered even worse treatments before, this threat didn't have much effect; rather, it just became a hit marker denoting "anyone who possesses this is a target for revenge."

Class 0

(This class is not accurately Kaigyo's Gangrene, but lifeforms that wandered in from other worlds)

• Goblin

  A type of creature known as a monster, blown in from the Adrasia Kingdom. They resemble green dwarves and attack humans and other animals. Although they initially rampaged attacking humans and zombies, they attacked evolved Gangrene, were counterattacked, and wiped out.

• Eater

  A type of creature known as a monster, blown in from the Adrasia Kingdom. They have fleshy bodies resembling a melted, bloated human, and their thick skin repels physical attacks. They primarily survive by preying on biological corpses, but rarely attack living creatures. Their movements are slow, but they can warp to move.

Class 1

• Zombie

  Humans rotted by Gangrene. Their physical abilities are superior to a normal human's. They spread and diffuse the Gangrene by attacking other humans.

Class 2

• Zombie Wolf

  Evolution Base: Zombie. A dog-shaped zombie. Faster than a normal zombie, but slightly inferior in durability.

• Zombie Leader

  Evolution Base: Zombie. A muscular, large zombie. Physical abilities are far superior to a normal zombie's; a regular human would be crushed and die instantly just from being punched. Its flaw is that its excessive power makes it unsuitable for diffusing Gangrene.

Class 3

• Zombie Spider

  Evolution Base: Zombie Wolf. An eight-limbed spider-type zombie. Fast-moving and can cling to ceilings and walls. Attacks by spitting highly acidic mucus.

• Cerberus

  Evolution Base: Zombie Wolf. A dog-type zombie with multiple heads. Can bite distant opponents by extending its neck bones.

• Skeleton

  Evolution Base: Zombie Leader. The final form of a zombie where the flesh has completely rotted away, leaving only bones. Holds a red sword made from its own flesh. Its physical abilities are improved in every aspect compared to a Zombie Leader. Also, perhaps possessing some intelligence, it uses something akin to swordsmanship.

• Ghoul

  Evolution Base: Zombie Leader. A bloated, fat zombie. Tall enough to look up to, and its weight reaches tons. Its movements are slow and it doesn't launch significant attacks, but it is incredibly sturdy and gets in the way in narrow spaces.

Class 4

• Arachne

  Evolution Base: Zombie Spider. A Gangrene with the lower half of a spider and the upper half of a female zombie. Both speed and power are enhanced beyond the Zombie Spider, and it attacks by spitting spiderwebs that melt the opponent.

• Rafflesia

  Evolution Base: Zombie Spider. A flower-like Gangrene that hides by mimicking the surrounding scenery. When an opponent steps on its petal-like tentacles, it closes, and an enhanced zombie in the center preys on them with sharp teeth.

• Flying Head

  Evolution Base: Cerberus. A giant zombie consisting only of a head floating in mid-air. Creates smaller heads and sics them on the opponent to attack. Both the main body and the divided entities can pass through obstacles like walls. Highly mobile but has low durability.

• Fenrir

  Evolution Base: Cerberus. A large dog Gangrene with white fur. At a glance, it looks like it has a beautiful coat, but being Gangrene, its flesh is rotting and dirty in places. Very agile, with powerful claw attacks, and frequently uses ice magic.

• Skeleton Mage

  Evolution Base: Skeleton. A Skeleton whose weapon has changed from a sword to a staff. Wields dark attribute magic. It looks like a mage, but its close-combat skills are just as strong as when it was a Skeleton, so one must not let their guard down even when up close.

• Skeleton Warrior

  Evolution Base: Skeleton. A Skeleton whose swordsmanship is even more polished. The sword itself has also changed into a greatsword a size larger. Uses not only melee attacks but also skills that launch shockwaves.

• Ghoul Mother

  Evolution Base: Ghoul. A Ghoul with regressed limbs that clings to walls. Its abdomen is split wide open, continuously birthing zombies infinitely from there. Because these zombies evolve and change form over time just like normal ones, it is extremely dangerous if left alone.

• Ooze

  Evolution Base: Ghoul. A Ghoul melted down into a mushy slime form. It has become even more resistant to physical attacks than when it was a Ghoul, making it difficult to defeat with anything other than magic. It doesn't actively attack but blocks paths or stands in the way to protect other Gangrene.

Class 5

• Skeleton General

  Evolution Base: Skeleton Warrior. A Skeleton warrior clad in sturdy armor, wielding a giant sword. Its power is enhanced beyond the Skeleton Warrior, and it wields master-level swordsmanship.

• Skeleton Sword Master

  Evolution Base: Skeleton Warrior. A Skeleton warrior that has grown eight arms. Its movements have become even faster, and it unleashes sharp sword techniques with the slender swords held in each hand.

• Lich

  Evolution Base: Skeleton Mage. A bone Gangrene clad in a robe. It has no legs and moves by floating softly. Using dark attribute magic is the same as the Skeleton Mage, but it now wields even higher-tier magic. It can also regenerate the bodies of other Gangrene using recovery magic.

• Wraith

  Evolution Base: Skeleton Mage. A bone Gangrene wearing a hooded robe and holding a giant scythe. It has no legs and moves by floating softly. Retaining the magic of a Skeleton Mage, it also unleashes powerful slashes using its scythe.

• Ghoul Carrier

  Evolution Base: Ghoul Mother. So to speak, a mobile Ghoul Mother, possessing a fat body with countless legs. From the split in its abdomen, it gives birth not only to zombies but also to Class 2 Zombie Wolves and Zombie Leaders.

• Ghoul Bomber

  Evolution Base: Ghoul Mother. An evolved form of the Ghoul Mother that moves on its own using extremely short limbs. It births baby-shaped zombies from its split. These babies explode upon impact. Also, the Ghoul Bomber itself will self-destruct if it takes heavy damage, causing massive damage to the surroundings.

Floor Master

• Homesick

  Base Body: Shimakawa Yuya

  The master of Floor 1.

  It can show hallucinations derived from the base body's trauma and generate Gangrene. By manipulating gravity, it can draw in targets' physical bodies or "insides." These abilities rely on Shimakawa Yuya's presence; once his consciousness fades, it resorts to very crude attacks, such as firing massive amounts of zombies as cannonballs. The main body is protected by a massive amount of Gangrene deep within the red hallway, and when attacking enemies outside, it sics avatars called "Replicas" on them.
